In an announcement yesterday that surprised very few people, Konami told the public that the hotly-anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has been pushed back from it’s March 2008 window into “Q2 2008â€. In English that means that the game will not hit shelves (and shortly thereafter sequester many PS3 owners) until sometime in the period between April and June of 2008.
It is perhaps mildly surprising to some given that Konami just displayed a playable build of MGS4 at E For All (October 18-21) where it got very positive feedback.
In their statement released to the public, Konami stated the reason for the delay was to “make further improvements in the quality of the game and provide even greater enjoyment for more customers worldwide.†Well, who doesn’t want more enjoyment?
