X-Files Sequel Coming

In a move that will no doubt please many fans of the long-running and successful TV show, Twentieth Century Fox has announced that X-Files 2 is in fact coming to a big screen near you. The highly rated and award winning drama will break new ground on July 25th, 2008 with series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning to their roles of Mulder and Scully.
While the original feature film (released in 1998) did not meet with unparalleled acclaim, the confirmation of a sequel and it’s release during the summer blockbuster season certainly would indicate that Fox is a big believer in the project. With it’s legions of dedicated fans, it should be able to generate some noise in the box office race this coming year.

I agree. I was a big fan of the earlier seasons and the movie. Not sure about those later seasons though. I am glad they are revisiting the story and coming back with another movie.
