Family Guy: Blue Harvest

By Valentine • Jan 21st, 2008 • Category: Recent Movie News

blueharvest

There are many Star Wars parodies made over the years and this by far is one of the best. Family Guy: Blue Harvest, follows the Episode IV timeline but with added twist and hilarious one liners by original Family Guy cast plus other well known actors and actresses and Rush Limbaugh…as himself. Yikes! Other stars who lend their voices are: Seth Green who played Chris Griffin, Mila Kunis (That 70’s Show) as Meg Griffin, The Griswalds played by Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo, Leslie Nielsen (Naked Gun) as Dr. Rumack and a whole lot more! This is definately a must see and a must own movie. I haven’t seen many Family Guy episodes, but after watching this movie… I think I might start collecting the series.

Golden Compass Preview

By Dweezle • Nov 30th, 2007 • Category: Recent Movie News

golden compass

This Saturday (Tomorrow!), The Golden Compass will be in select theaters for a sneak peek. Based on author Philip Pullman’s bestselling novel, The Golden Compass tells the first story in the “His Dark Materials” trilogy. An exciting fantasy adventure, the film is set in an alternative world populated by talking bears who fight wars, witches, Gyptians, and daemons. In the world of The Golden Compass, a person’s soul lives on the outside of their body in the form of a daemon, an animal spirit that accompanies them through life. With one of the biggest budgets since Lord of the Rings, this movie definitely has enough visual effects to become a fantasy classic. To find out if there is a sneak peek showing near you, visit Fandango, type in your area code, and select December 1st.

Thomas Crown 2

Thomas Crown

Variety reports that Paul Verhoeven is set to direct a sequel to the 1999 Thomas Crown Affair. Pierce Brosnan will return to the classy thief role, but will not be joined by Rene Russo, his love interest in the first film. The sequel supposedly takes place in Europe and the Middle East and involve Crown in a “centuries-old feud” where he weighs how much he wants to “risk for love.” Although that sounds very typical romantic caper, the first movie seemed to deliver well, so hopefully this one will follow suit.

We all remember the controversy surrounding Daniel Craig taking on the role of James Bond 007 in 2006.
